About Me – Eva Keary
My love for fashion started early, long before I ever thought of it as a career. At 14, I was working in a menswear store in my hometown in Ireland called Man About Town. It didn’t take long before I saw an opportunity to introduce womenswear, and soon I was travelling to trade fairs in Dublin, choosing pieces based purely on instinct - what I loved, what I felt people would wear. That experience shaped how I see fashion today: intuitive, personal, and always evolving.
When I first moved to Perth, the fashion scene felt worlds away from what I was used to. I’d regularly send home 20kg boxes of clothes from Ireland (Primark was a staple) just to feel like myself. But over time, I’ve watched Perth transform into a city with a strong and confident sense of style. It’s grown into its own, and now feels just as relevant and exciting as the places I once looked to for inspiration.
My style is grounded in timeless pieces that work hard in my wardrobe. A crisp white button-down shirt is something I always come back to - it’s simple, but endlessly versatile. I rely on a few key staples, like a nude trench coat and a denim shacket, that I can layer and restyle no matter the season.
I’ve also learned not to box myself in when it comes to colour. Yellow was always something I avoided, but finding the right shade completely changed my perspective -it’s now one of those tones I reach for when I want something a little unexpected.
And while trends will always come and go, I still have a soft spot for skinny jeans (I’m quietly waiting for their return.
For me, fashion should feel inclusive, wearable, and fun. I’m drawn to brands that reflect that, offering pieces that suit different ages, styles, and body types. One thing Belmont Forum does incredibly well is denim, there’s such a great mix of fits and styles, making it easy to find something that feels just right.
