  4. NAIDOC WEEK 2026

5 – 12 July

We recognise NAIDOC Week as a time to celebrate and honour the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is an opportunity to learn, connect and reflect on the contributions of First Nations peoples across generations.

This year’s theme, 50 Years of Deadly, celebrates five decades of strength, resilience, leadership and cultural pride. It recognises the people and communities who have shaped the NAIDOC movement and continue to inspire future generations.

As part of NAIDOC, we have partnered with Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF), a First Nations Community-led organisation, responding to requests from remote Communities for culturally relevant books, resources and programs to support Communities to create, and publish their stories in languages of their choice. Since 2011, the ILF has gifted 1 million books to more than 525 remote Communities, supported 116 playgroups with its early literacy program and published 235 books reflecting 45 First Languages. Be part of the Story – you can help put culturally relevant books into the hands of children who need it most. Every $10 raised helps gift one book to a child in a remote Community.
