Buldak Ramen gets a juicy upgrade with the ultimate shortcut using soup dumplings. It is quick, fiery and way more exciting than your usual noodle fix. Dinner just got interesting.

Serves 1

Ingredients purchased from Family Fresh Market

Ingredients:

  • 4 soup dumplings of your choice
  • 1 packet buldak ramen 
  • 1 egg yolk 
  • 1 cup chicken stock 
  • 1 tbsp chopped spring onions 
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds 
  • 1 tbsp lao gan ma chilli oil 
  • 1 tbsp crispy onions 

Method:

  1. Steam your soup dumplings to packet instructions. If you don’t have a steamer, cook soup dumplings in a pan on medium heat with ½ cup of water and cover for 8 minutes (as per the video)
  2. Heat the chicken stock to near boiling point (either in the microwave or stove top)
  3. Meanwhile, remove the 2 sachets from buldak ramen and cook the noodles for 2 minutes. Set aside
  4. In a bowl, combine the two sachets from the buldak ramen packet with an egg. Pour in the chicken stock and stir to combine 
  5. Assemble the soup with the noodles, soup dumplings, spring onions, sesame seeds, chilli oil and crispy onions
  6. Enjoy!
