Moroccan spiced prawns

INGREDIENTS

  • 400g Raw prawn cutlets,
  • de-veined
  • 4 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon ground ginger
  • Half a teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 Teaspoon paprika
  • 1 Red chilli, finely chopped
  • 3 Cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • Half a teaspoon salt or
  • to taste
  • Fresh lemon to serve

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pour oil in a small saucepan and stir in cumin seeds
  2. Heat oil over medium heat and cook cumin seeds until they  start to pop
  3. Add ginger, turmeric, paprika and stir for a few seconds
  4. Remove saucepan from heat and add chilli garlic and salt
  5. Cool marinade in a bowl and coat prawns evenly
  6. Cook prawns on BBQ flat  bed grill on medium heat for 3 minutes or until firm
  7. Serve with fresh lemon wedges and salad of choice

Cooking time: 10 mins
